Laura Kunzie is the president and founder of ZEB Gear, Inc., a business designed to equip individuals and communities in disaster awareness and preparedness. Zeb Gear is leading the world as an innovator in services and strategies enabling our client’s actions and abilities to surpass the influence of disasters.
She developed a 300+ person nation-wide disaster response volunteer network which is rated by the CIA as one of the leading response agencies in the United States. She has trained hundreds from a practical and informative perspective in disaster preparedness and response.
Laura spent eight years in the United States Coast Guard and served two during the Exxon Valdez Oil Spill for which she received the Coast Guard Achievement Medal for distinguished service.
She works with local and federal government to coordinate disaster exercises and disaster mitigation planning. She coordinates active volunteer teams in CERT & disaster drills in three counties in North and South Carolina. Outside of professional interests, she’s an assistant coach for a high school cross country team and enjoys living in Fort Mill, South Carolina with her husband and son.
