The NOAH Foundation's mission is to educate and assist with preparing our country's electrical grid. We have added on a temporary mission to assist victims of Hurricane Helene in Western NC by providing housing for those who need a hard, permanent roof over their heads. You can help.

On September 27, 2024, Hurricane Helene hit WNC after three days (20 inches) of rain, bringing with it 10 to 20 inches more rain and winds exceeding 80mph.

The land gave way and small creeks became roaring walls of mud and debris that took away everything in its way.

This is not an exaggeration. Entire areas were permanently wiped off the map. For many, the specter of homelessness is a looming uncertainty.
